Who is Qari Sharif Zain?
Shaykh Sharif Zain Ali
Sheikh Sharif Zain Ali is originally from Somalia, a country renowned for its deep love and reverence for the Qur’ān. He completed his Hifdh of the Qur’ān in Somalia before continuing his Qur’ānic studies in the United Kingdom, where he obtained an Ijāzah in Hafs ‘an ‘Āsim. He also holds an Ijāzah in the Ten Minor Qirā’āt.
Sheikh Sharif has been leading Tarāwīh prayers for over 20 years in South London. He currently serves as an Imām at Ibn Taymiyyah Masjid (Brixton) and is the Head of Qur’ān Studies at Madinah College.
